The success of athletes in all sports is directly related to how well they practice. Quality practice produces excellent results. The Diamond Dawg staff believes that detailed practice sessions separate our program from all the rest. All of the Diamond Dawg practices are coordinated by Frank Merigliano (White Sox) and Ryan Flanagan (Twins). Each practice is broken up into individual skill sessions and situational teamwork, and is uniform in philosophy and content throughout each of our age groups. The consistent teaching methods used throughout our program allow our players to maximize their ability and continue to improve their skills as they grow and mature. The advantages of having full time professional baseball instruters run our program is what sets us apart from all other "travel" teams and rec leagues.Without quality instruction and detailed practice time athletes will not be able to reach their full potential in any sport.
The Diamond Dawgs will begin defensive practices outdoors on Sundays begining in Sept . We will continue until the end of October and then resume indoors at the Grrentree Sportsplex in December. Practice will continue indoors on Sundays until the spring and then will move outside for games and scrimmages. Travel for out of state tournaments will begin in late April.
