PITTSBURGH DIAMOND DAWG PLAYER RULES


                                      We expect all of our players to adhere to the following rules of conduct



At the field:
        Show up in full uniform with shirts tucked in
        Only black undershirts or sleeves underneath the game jersey   All players must wear BLACK belts
        Hats are to be worn forward with a curved bill....NO FLAT BILLS      hats can be worn backwards between games
        Eye black can be used but it must be one straight line.......no war paint
        You will play the position the coach tells you to play
        You will bat in the order where the coach tells you to play
        At no time will you EVER ask a coach when you will be put in a game....they know who's in the game and who is not
        No eating on the bench....gum and seeds are fine
        Players are never to leave the bench area FOR ANY REASON....if you have a reason to leave please ask a coach
        Players will NEVER make derogatory statements about the other team or players on their own team
        There will be no organized cheers on the bench...support you teammates but this isn't girls softball
          No pouting if you are not in the line up...If you want to play do earn your position when you get a chance

          Players are to wear BLACK batting helmets and BLACK spikes

          NO PITCHING IN REC LEAGUES AFTER WEDNESDAY OF A TOURNAMENT WEEKEND

Game Play
        All players will play hard and run out every ball......you must touch first base on any ball put in play
        No crying at any time (Unless you are hurt)   No pouting after errors or strikeouts
        No arguing with umpires
        No throwing bats or helmets
        No talking to your parents during the game....there is plenty of time for that at the hotel
        
At the Hotel
        We expect all of our players to act like gentlemen at all times
        No running in the halls or in the pool area
        Please let you parents know where you are at all times
        Dress appropriately 
                 OLDER PLAYERS WILL BE IN SHOWCASE TOURNAMENTS WITH SCOUTS AROUND
                               Nobody wants to see your boxers.....No flat billed hats worn sideways
                               We expect our older players to set an example for our younger kids
         Breaking or violating any team rule or LAW will get you dismissed from the program

         Adhere to ALL hotel rules....you break a rule...you get sent home




    We expect all players to represent themselves, their families and The Pittsburgh Diamond Dawgs with class and dignity at all times


                           WE WILL WIN WITH HUMILITY AND LOOSE WITH CLASS
